Heck Yeah, Old Technology!
A moment to complain about spammers on Tumbr:

I realize the goal on “liking” a photo is to get people to look at the remark history and say “oh hey, who is this person?” and they get a few cents for having their banner ads seen, or to direct traffic to their scam sales site (as the person above has). But seriously, carpetbombing all posts for the last two days? May your removal from Tumblr be swift, SPW.

If you’re reading this on any other page than Heck Yeah, Old Technology you’re probably on a fake Tumblr right now. Is this page named “Welcome to my Home”? How ironic they reblogged this! Follow the directions below.

I hope you are doing the same as myself: when you see Likes from bogus sources, you’re clicking Block at the end of the listing in the Dashboard then the Spam button at the bottom of the screen. That’s the only way we’re going to eradicate these things until Tumblr figures out a way to prevent for-clicks and punt-to-sales accounts altogether.

For lulz I’ve added some tags to this post for the sake of irony; “mmc” and “turtle wax” get Liked on a lot by Tumblrs whose purpose is to get banner ad views, have nonsense jumble URLs and Asian female faces as avatars, and inevitably are named "welcome to my home."
